Erotic Paranormal Romance - m/m/f ménage

Egypt and Louisiana - Present day

Three thousand years ago Valerie was better known as Valenarian the destroyer. A part demon demigoddess, Val’s job was to punish adulterous husbands. She was superb at that job, but gradually her demon side made her go a bit too far, tempting innocents into straying just so she could kill them. Then came the fateful meeting with Demitri, a tiger shifting demigod, who captured Valenarian’s heart. Strong enough to stand up to her, he eventually betrayed her, handing Val over to serve the goddess Aphrodite.

Demitri really did love Val, however, if he hadn’t given her to Aphrodite, she would have been destroyed by the gods. What else could he have done? And now, when she reappears in his life, he can’t deny he loves her still. So, when her bad side (Valenarian) starts to overcome Valerie (the good side Aphrodite managed to bring to the surface), he knows he’ll do anything to save her.

Just one problem, Demitri isn’t the only one who loves Val. Leon, a mortal shifter, is falling for her as well, and it will take both of them to meet the challenge Aphrodite has posed - make Val whole by bringing together Valenarian and Valerie or see her destroyed once and for all. Oh yeah, and they only have fourteen days to do it.

WOW! If there were any two men hotter than Demitri and Leon to take on the task of helping Val in MORTAL SEDUCTIONS I can’t imagine what they would be like. Demitri is sinfully handsome, sophisticated and sleek. Leon’s good looks are more of a primal, rough and tumble type. Both men are compassionate, powerful and head over heels for Val. Lucky, lucky girl! Two men that gorgeous deserve nothing less than their equal and they certainly get it in Val. By turns sweet and spicy (super spicy!) Valerie/Valenarian is a woman who knows what she wants and goes after it no holds barred. She may be a bit wild, even scary, but when she loves, she does so wholeheartedly. Whether the guys are with Val, or looking to ease some understandable frustration when she’s not around, fireworks are always going off. Ya gotta love stories this hot! And yeah, just in case you were wondering, there’s plenty of other interesting things going on when they’re not in bed. ;-)

If you read MORTAL TEMPTATIONS (January 2009), you’re sure to remember Demitri’s introduction in that book (his best friends, Andreas and Nikolaus had their stories told in that tale) as was one of the secondary characters who shows up here, Bes. A little Egyptian god with horns and a protective nature, he may not have the might of the big gods, but he’s helpful nonetheless. When you think of Aphrodite, you may just think of her as the beautiful goddess of love, but really, one should never forget she is still a powerful goddess and as such should not be crossed. Apollo is another with an intense interest in this story. Given that he’s Demitri’s dad, you’d hope he’d want to see him succeed, but you know those gods, they can be fickle creatures. Leon is in Egypt to help his little brother, Remy, with a dig he’s working on. Remy is lighthearted and fun, but boy is he dedicated to his work, he doesn’t even notice Felicia, a cute girl who works at the dig and thinks he’s yummy. Men!

If you didn’t read the first Mortal book, it’s okay, you won’t be lost. But, having said that, it was positively delicious as well and you shouldn’t miss it. So, what do you get when you combine demigods, demigoddesses, gods and goddesses, immortal and mortal shifters? Well, you get a story that’s full of excitement and keeps the surprises coming. You will absolutely want a cold drink at your side when you read this, if you doubt me, you won’t for long. :-) MORTAL SEDUCTIONS proves yet again that when you want a story with plenty of fire and characters who you’ll never forget, you want a book penned by the inimitable Allyson James.
