Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas - Present Day

Brent Cooper is not modest about his drop-dead gorgeous looks, or the fact that he’s the highest earning escort at Cooper’s Companions, the escort service he and his brother and sister own.  His looks and his charm have women all but falling at his feet, and Brent has done his share of sampling.  He enjoys the variety and isn’t looking to settle down – which is a good thing since he has yet to meet the perfect woman.

Then his sister hires Robin Howell to update the company’s website.  Beautiful, streaky blond hair, a body to die for, and a sense of humor: Robin is flawless – until she takes off her jacket and Brent sees the horrific scarring on her arms. Brent can have any woman he wants ... why would he settle for someone who isn’t perfect?  But why can’t he get her out of his mind?

Though a bit hurt, Robin is also relieved when Brent is turned off by the sight of her scars.  She’s already dealt with one man who was too charming, with disastrous results, so the last thing she needs is to be around another.  Unfortunately, Brent is the first man in a long time that interests her.

A man who has always blinded himself to anything more than surface beauty finds that it does indeed go more than skin deep in ALMOST PERFECTION.  Brent starts off a bit shallow, but as he starts to spend time with Robin, he’s able to overlook her imperfections enough that he starts to care for her.  As attracted as she is to Brent, Robin is sure it won’t get anywhere.  Even if he is able to get past the scarring, he’s not the type to settle for one woman, which is fine with her; it’s not exactly safe for her to get involved with anyone.  She doesn’t realize just how real a threat her past is though, until it comes back to haunt her.  Her past adds an element of suspense to the tale, and brings Brent and Robin closer together.

Characters from the earlier Cooper’s Companions stories make appearances, giving readers the chance to see what Brent’s family is up to.  If you haven’t read the previous books, don’t worry, this one stands on its own, however they are all very enjoyable tales.  Pick up your copy of ALMOST PERFECTION to find out.
