Erotic Contemporary Romance – Short Story

New York City and Cazbekistan – Present Day

Once again Audrey Brookstone is stood up on a date, but this time there’s a last minute substitution in the form of a stranger, Milo Stanisbeck, who happens to come along while she’s waiting at the theater, fills the bill nicely as her date. Audrey learns he is a diplomat from Cazbekistan and will be leaving the next day. He’s sexy, nice and she hates the thought of never seeing the man who could be her Prince Charming. Even as they linger over their night together, the sparks fly, especially in the back seat of the limo. But suddenly, her world goes black as Milo drugs her and whisks her off to his country.

Milo is really Prince Milo of Cazbekistan and he wants Audrey to be his courtesan for as long as he desires her. Audrey, of course, doesn’t intend to be anyone’s mistress. Milo is soon holding her against her will while he attempts to woo her. She’s treated like royalty even though her destiny is that of a Prince’s courtesan. The more she fights him, the harder it gets to resist him.

The title CAPTURED says it all. Audrey is abducted by Prince Milo quite easily as the nice guy turns alpha and uncaring of her wishes. As a man who is used to always getting his way, imagine his surprise when Audrey is determined to deny him access to her bed, though he has already sampled the wares in the back seat of his limo. Meanwhile, Audrey enjoys all the pampering she wants at the palace, even as Milo argues for his right to make her his mistress. She finally relents to staying – for a price, though she’s determined bedding her isn’t part of the deal. Will she be able to resist the charismatic Milo?

Milo is just following centuries of family history by taking a courtesan. Audrey is smart, attractive, and keeps him on his toes. So, why can’t he marry her? And the more she resists him, the more he wants her. Who will win the final battle?

Fast paced and fairly predictable, I found CAPTURED to be overall a pleasant read. There aren’t a lot of sex scenes, but this tale will certainly keep you turning the pages as you wonder how long before Milo finally realizes he’s in love with Audrey. Readers looking for a story centering on royalty and the Cinderella who finds her Prince Charming in the most unorthodox manner, grab yourself a copy of CAPTURED today.
