Resnick, Georgia – Present Day

Nola Grainger was raised by her grandmother, but the two weren’t close due to the rigidness of Nola’s upbringing. When her grandmother passes on, she leaves everything to Nola, but with one stipulation. In order to inherit, she must marry within thirty days of her grandmother’s death. It isn’t that Nola is greedy, but her childhood home is where she wants to return and make it the grand mansion it once was. Since Nola isn’t in a steady relationship (the sexual one with no commitment doesn’t count), she must quickly find a man to marry her. He must be one who she relates to both as a lover and someone she can commit to for the rest of her life.

After taking her current lover, Marc, off the list, she figures she will check out her childhood sweetheart, Billy, who is now running Resnick’s hardware store. Their romance ended after she went away to college, and the breakup still hurts. Soon after her arrival in town, Tanner Nash appears on her doorstep. Seems he was in the midst of repairs on the mansion approved by her grandmother. Nola agrees to let him continue, but a sudden attraction to Tanner has Nola putting him on her list of potential husbands. Or, if all else fails, she can go back to her lover, Marc…

Too many men. Too little time. How will Nola decide which man to marry? And who is responsible for the sudden attempts against her life? Is it one of the men?

MATING GAME is a woman’s erotic journey to marriage, southern style.  Up until now, Nola has been content living in Chicago. But when she learns her grandmother died, a woman she had little contact with in the past few years due to their constant disagreements, Nola decides now is the time to return home. Of course, the provision of the will forces her to move back to Resnick, as well as to find a suitable husband quickly.  Nola is likeable, though she doesn’t have any compunction about bedding each man to determine which would be the one to marry.  I won’t give away the spoiler of which one she decides on, but readers will catch on early and be happy with her choice.

While Nola is deciding on her man, there are several attempts on her life which add a bit of suspense to MATING GAME. Why would anyone want to kill her? Does it have anything to do with the fact that if Nola doesn’t meet the thirty day requirement on getting married her inheritance will be given to someone else? Readers will soon be pulled into the "who is the mystery bad guy" and by the end of MATING GAME, Nola not only will have a husband, but the mystery solved.

Scorching hot, with passion that will sizzle your fingertips as you read, MATING GAME is a wonderfully intriguing tale of a woman searching for Mr. Right. Grab up a copy of MATING GAME at your nearest bookstore.
