The Bough Forest

For two years, Astrid has lived beneath the Makian Well, in the Bough Forest, recovering in body, if not in heart.  The first year was spent healing from the injuries sustained when her fiancé pushed her into the well on the eve of their wedding.  The next, hiding her scarred face and broken heart.  When Killian ventures close to the well, he awakens feelings in Astrid that she’s long since buried.

Though warned of the witch in the forest, Killian Blythe is in a hurry to reach Graystown, and unwilling to waste the time traveling around the forest will take.  The mysterious cloaked woman intrigues him, and after talking to her he is entranced.  Once away from the well, Killian remembers his haste to reach Graystown, and wonders over the confusion that has overcome him at times.  Is Astrid really a witch, or is something else keeping him in the Bough Forest?

A dead forest is the setting, where two people learn to live again in the erotic and engaging WITCHING WELL.  The betrayal Astrid suffered was compounded by the scarring from her injuries, and she stays in the forest, venturing out only under cover of darkness, and in the shape of an owl.  Killian was hurt in an attack, which caused him to be afraid of leaving his home.  The death of his sister is what prompted him to join the world again, and meeting Astrid revives the dreams he had of marriage.  But what exactly is in this forest, and why do they both feel as if they can’t leave?  Read WITCHING WELL to find out.
