New Zealand - Present Day

Now that she’s celebrated her twenty-fifth birthday, Emma Montrose is determined to go after the two things she wants more than anything: her job and Jack Sullivan.  While working for George Taniwha & Co., private investigators, Emma has taken all of the classes and tests necessary to becoming a private investigator herself, but her boss has yet to put her in the field.  Jack Sullivan is one of her co-workers, and Emma has had a thing for him almost as long as she’s worked there.  Before she has a chance to put her plans for Jack into effect though, she finds out that they’ll be working together.

Jack is being sent to investigate the possibility of a group dealing sports-enhancing drugs at a local private resort.  Unfortunately, because it’s a couples resort, and the upcoming blue moon, Jack is not going to be going alone.  As a taniwha (a shape-shifting serpent) the blue moon can cause him to lose control of his powers.  One way to fight the change is sex – a lot – but he has no intention of having sex with Emma, no matter how tempting she is.  He’s already had one relationship destroyed because of his secret, and Jack’s not about to take a chance on getting close enough to another woman that he’d have to reveal it again.

But Emma, and her lucky streak of winning prizes that usually include sex toys, may just be too tempting to resist.

An island where anything goes is the setting for MAKE THAT MAN MINE, and it’s a mission that Emma is totally committed to.  Sun, sand and sex toys are an irresistible combination, and with Jack’s inner serpent battling to get out, it’s a losing fight.  He’s a bit shocked that the shy woman he knows from the office is such sensual creature, and he’s more turned on than he wants to admit.  Emma is sure of her feelings and, while thrilled with the hot sex she and Jack share, the coldness that he shows now and then is beginning to annoy her.

The investigation they are conducting adds a little suspense to the plot but for the most part takes a backseat to the relationship building between Emma and Jack.  An engaging story, check out MAKE THAT MAN MINE.
