Interview with Jenesi Ash – CHAIN REACTION

RRT: Welcome to RRTErotic.

Thanks for taking the time to interview me!

RRT: How much of your personality and life experiences are in your writing?

I think my personality probably comes across in the heroines. Nothing comes easy for them, but they gain confidence and by the end of the story they transform into the women they wanted to be.

RRT: When draws you to the erotic romance genre?

The promise of sexual tension and a high level of sensuality are always good, but I'm drawn to stories that make the sexual relationship important because it offers an element of emotional risk. As the reader, it allows me to find out every dark secret the hero and heroine have. I get to really understand what they are afraid of and long for as I watch them resist and eventually have the courage to go for their fantasies.

RRT: What books do you read and what authors?

I primarily read contemporary romance. My favorite erotic romance authors are Emma Holly and Lora Leigh.

RRT: Tell us a little about your working on now.

I'm just about to start writing my next full length book called SWAP. It's about two friends who swap sex lives.

RRT:  Tell us a bit about CHAIN REACTION. 

CHAIN REACTION is about four women who receive a fantasy chain letter. While using the scarf that came with the chain letter, each woman has a sexual awakening. All of the stories have a light bondage theme.

RRT: What type of writing routine, if any, do you work with?

I know how many pages I need to do by the end of the day. Usually I do pages early in the morning, and then go back and rework them in the afternoon, and try to polish the pages later at night. On a good day, I actually meet my page goal.

RRT:  What's up next for you?

Later this year, Harlequin SPICE Briefs will release one of my short stories. "Anything You Want" is about a mistress who secretly has three men and she suspects one of them is trying to kill her.
